UGANDA Veterinary Association members Dr Patrick Barasa (left)  and Dr Tamim Ebong (right) have recently been promoted in their districts of duty to Production Officers.

UVA secretary Bonifance Obbo has congratulated the two senior vets, and hailed their role in serving the country.

“Uganda Veterinary Association congratulates Dr Barasa Patrick, President Eastern chapter upon his promotion to District Production officer, Busia District local Government. We are confident of your ability to serve the department and country. May the almighty God Guide you in your new office,” Obbo said.

He added that through the leadership of Dr Barasa as Uganda Veterinary Association president Eastern chapter, they were able to host two successful events; World Veterinary day celebrations in 2019 in Buyende district and World Rabies day celebration in 2022 in Tororo.

The Uganda Veterinary Association also hailed Dr Tamim Ebong. “UVA would like also to take this opportunity to congratulate our host of World Veterinary celebration due on 28/04/2023 , District Veterinary officer Dr Tamim Ebong of Amolatar District local Government upon his promotion to District Production officer Karenga District Local Government. We are grateful to Busia District local Government and Karenga District Local Government for giving our members an opportunity to serve the country.”

The Production Department in a district consists of four sectors; Veterinary sector, Agriculture -Crop, Fisheries and Entomology.
